Basic car park facts from ALINEThe general layout for a car park bay is 2.5m wide and 5.4m long. I have come across car parks where the size had to be varied either due to lack of or excess space. Car parks are usually either asphalt or concrete base. The most common colors used are white or yellow for the car bays, although I have been required to use other colors such as red and blue.The angle of the car bay will determine the amount of space required to enter/exit the car bay.
A good car park should also have provisions for Disabled parking , directional arrows and pedestrian access. At Aline we assist with the design and layout of the car park if required.
